Various other amp graphics cards for different price ranges
Rumor has it almost daily with new supposed benchmarks and other details about Nvidia’s all-new GeForce RTX 3000 series. Over the next few months, the previously announced lineup of GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 is due to be supplemented with several previously unknown model variants.
Depending on a current leak, for example, Nvidia will in the future position an RTX 3060 Ti or an RTX 3060 Super directly under the RTX 3070. In addition, a GeForce RTX 3060 should appear, which has haunted the gazettes for a long time and should offer as core an ampere GPU called GA106.
Unlike the RTX 3060, the RTX 3060 Ti / Super should be based on the same GPU as the RTX 3070 i.e. GA104. In this particular case, however, Nvidia appears to be deactivating some processing units, so instead of the 5888 Cuda cores with the RTX 3070, only 4864 can be used. The Videocardz website reports on this upcoming graphics card, as does the Twitter user Kopite7kimi.
According to the information available, the memory configuration of the RTX 3060 Ti / Super will be 8 gigabytes of GDDR6-VRAM, similar to the RTX 3070. This leads to the assumption that the memory interface of the card must be 256 bits wide, as with the 3070. However, so far there is no other information about memory, memory clock or GPU clock.
Moreover, according to Videocardz, it is currently not entirely clear whether the 3060 Ti or the 3060 Super are one and the same model. The website encountered two different registration numbers, which could easily match two different models. However, it also seems possible that there is an error and only one card with the specified specs will appear.
RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 with more VRAM?
Notable rumors about the yet to be announced GeForce RTX 30xx series cards are supplemented by early information about a possible GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 16 gigabytes of VRAM and an RTX 3080 variant with 20 gigabytes of memory. The RTX 3080, due out September 17, features 10 gigabytes of GDDR6X-VRAM, which has already sparked dissatisfaction among PC gamers and performance-oriented gaming industry professionals.
An improved version of the new flagship RTX 3080 could actually be seen by Nvidia as a counterweight to AMD’s upcoming Big Navi graphics cards. It is currently questionable when exactly AMD plans to release the new high-end models of the Radeon family. The latest such rumors came into play at the end of this year. Soon after, Nvidia could also introduce other graphics cards from the GeForce RTX 30 series.
