In order to convert a file, it must be inserted into XMedia Recode as a source file, then the desired settings regarding codec, bit rate and Cie must be done through the corresponding tabs. After clicking on “Add job” and “Coding”, the program starts the conversion. Converting multiple files using batch processing is also supported here.
With the “Direct Stream” function, audio and video streams can optionally be copied directly into the target format. Optionally, it can be converted to match the respective terminal using prefabricated profiles, for example for smartphone models from certain manufacturers or handheld consoles.

XMedia Recode can convert unprotected Blu-ray or DVD and automatically create and transfer chapters. Up to 32 subtitles can be added. The editing and trimming functions are also convenient, with which, for example, audio and video tracks can be cut before conversion or which allow additional settings with regard to resolution, color correction or color adjustment. volume. Editing ID3 tags and adding album art are also possible.
Ease of use thanks to the logical interface, all popular codecs and additional useful extras for processing video and audio make the program the tool of choice for converting media files. There is an alternative to XMedia Recode, for example, with the SUPER 2015 also free, which, however, is less tidy and wants to accommodate additional software during installation.
